After the publication of the Keuzegids 2023 on 9 March it turned out that students are very satisfied with the master Spatial, Transport & Environmental Economics (STREEM). In particular, STREEM scores maximum on content and assessment. Both components receive the maximum ‘++’ score. In addition to the bronze medal of EW Best Studies, this is very good news.
Addressing environmental issues, urban development, transport and real estate within an economic context
Programme director Hans Koster is happy, but not really surprised, given that Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam is home to one of the best and largest research groups in the world that deals with environmental issues, urban development, transport and real estate within an economic context. He adds: “Many of the most pressing global issues — such as climate change, housing affordability and growing spatial inequality — are happening right at the intersection of these four areas. Choosing the Master Spatial, Transport & Environmental Economics prepares students to address these issues directly.”
**The Keuzegids is an independent consumer guide that assesses and compares the quality of all training courses. In the Keuzegids, Master’s students annually assess their programmes on content, lecturers, assessment, career preparation and atmosphere.
