MObility during and after COrona LOckDOwn (abbreviated as MOCOLODO) was a research project, addressing urgent (policy) questions about mobility in corona times. The project run from September 15, 2020 to September 15, 2022, and united researchers from different universities in close cooperation with a number of societal partners.
Results
The project MOCOLODO looked at (1) the effects of lock-down and relaxation on the spatial and mobility behaviour of different groups and on the functioning of transport systems; (2) the implications for an effective, efficient and equitable design of relaxation of coronary measures and possible further tightening; and (3) how to bring this into line with the long-term objectives of sustainability, energy transition and accessibility. During a final (online) workshop on October 4, 2022, the researchers presented their results:

- Travel behaviour and vehicle access dynamics during and after the COVID-19 pandemic (Victor Nielsen, Francisco Bahamonde Birke, Dick Ettema, Utrecht University)
- Effects of COVID-10 pandemic on traffic demand in the Netherlands (Yufei Yuan, Alexandra Gavriilidou, Winnie Daamen, Serge Hoogendoorn, Delft University of Technology)
Conclusions and recommendations
A special issue of Tijdschrift Vervoerswetenschap (in Dutch) will appear in the months to come, containing conclusions and recommendations for policy makers and other professionals in the field of mobility.
