This question was addressed by\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/research.vu.nl\/en\/persons\/thomas-de-graaff\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Thomas de Graaff<\/a>,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/in\/casper-klipp-92693922a\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Casper Klipp<\/a>\u00a0en\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/research.vu.nl\/en\/persons\/hans-koster\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Hans Koster<\/a>. NV Zeedijk was founded in the 1980s to revitalize the then-deteriorated Zeedijk area in Amsterdam. By strategically purchasing, renovating, and actively managing properties, the organization \u2013 with the Municipality of Amsterdam as its largest shareholder \u2013 has significantly improved the liveability and safety of the neighbourhood.
